Mr Inquisitive/Mr. Wonderful – One Year Later

Dear Elizabeth,
I am not a good e-mailer and I apologize. There have been many times when I’ve thought of you and Becky in the past year. (Can’t believe it’s been a year). I bought Mr. Inquisitive from you when he was 3 years old last December. He has been such a pleasure. I have been taking it slow with his training since I am in no hurry and he seemed to benefit from this approach. He is an excellent jumper-my trainer loves him. He uses himself very correctly and is nice and steady. We’ve gone to a number of shows just to hang out and then to eventually school. It’s paid off.

I ‘ve been riding him myself since the first time we tacked him up and I have to admit I was a little nervous. At 57 I was asking myself what was I doing!! He could have been so different but he has taken such good care of me. I will send you some pictures when I get a little technical help with that one.

Thanks for putting in all the time and effort to make a difference for so many horses and people. I couldn’t be happier. Happy Holidays!!

Warmest wishes,
Suzie Jacobson

“Qu” was a Good Boy This Christmas!

"Qu" was a very good boy this year.

Hope everyone made it through the Holidays alright. The horses must have all been very good because Santa left 20 lbs of carrots for them! “Qu” did not know what a carrot was and wouldn’t take a piece until I finally corrupted him 2 days ago. Since he’s a youngster I of course won’t overdo it especially since he is a gentleman when he takes a treat now.

I have to knock on wood when I tell you this, but he has been so good to work with. Christmas gave us all a relaxed start and we did ground work until Saturday when I got on him for the first time. He was a little nervous but settled in quickly. All we did was walk, halt and go over poles and he was a champ. I love his attitude. I’m hoping to go on a hack with him fairly soon. I’m using a Happy Mouth mullen mouth right now but will probably try others too. Read the rest of this entry »

Mr. Inquisitive – “Hey, They Never Did This at the Track”

“Qu” (Mr. Inquisitive) was so good today. He put up with us rearranging antlers, trying on ones that had jingle bells but wouldn’t stand up. He was probably getting a little annoyed! He’s out with my older gelding tonight and they are getting along well.

Here is his Prospect Horse FOR SALE information:
“Qu” is a very cute 15′2 and a half hand (and growing) 2005 gelding. He has very clean and blemish free legs. This horse was started correctly and comes to us from his breeder. He has great manners on the ground and when riding. He is a doll to handle with no vices. The only reason he is being sold is he can not compete at the level needed to make money on the track. He has never had any soundness issues. He is very laid back and nice to ride. “Qu” is a baby and still has alot of growing and filling out to do. He has a nice shoulder and he looks like he would make a great 3-day event horse. He floats across the ground when moving. He is NOT high strung and has only raced about eight times. He is a grandson of In Reality who is one of the few male descendants of Man O’ War. Click here to see more photos on our sister Web site: www.ottbs-online.com.

“Qu” made it safely home to North Carolina today. Look for photos of he and his new mom Suzie soon!
