Breaking Free will do a BN later this summer and if all things go well maybe a Novice at the Thanksgiving HT.
I let them tell me when they are ready for more. I have no interest in making them sour or unhappy in their work, that is not fun for me. I do not think though, that for a talented horse with scope 2’6” is a terribly big fence and like them to have something that they at least have to make a shape over so they learn how to use their bodies and jump rather then just stepping over x-rails for a year 🙂
Kim is also a VERY good and very strong rider so there was never any doubt in his mind with either of us that he was to be in front of the leg and moving forward. He was confident and understanding his job.
